My studio will be seen as is, a working artist’s studio. I shall make certain concessions, the removal of some of the usual chaos but I promise to leave enough of it to give a reasonable (or unreasonable) sense of the usual conditions of my daily circumstances. I like to give the visitor some measure of the visual vocabulary of my work without revealing too many of the inner secrets of my techniques some of which have been years in development. I will make little attempt if any to exposure all the dimensions of what I have done, it would be too great an interruption in my usual flow, to show all. There will be seating. Modest refreshments, air conditioning. The light is best from 11 am until 3:30, actually on a clear day it can be spectacular. Children are welcome, actually preferred.
I will sweep the floor. I like company.
