Ed Lederman

Studio #1

Ed Lederman is a New York City-based photographer whose work has been called “a love letter to the city” by The Standard Culture. His panoramic images are immense and immersive, drawing viewers deep into the environments and rhythms of New York. His quieter vignettes capture why we stay in this hectic city that feeds our sensibilities.

Best known for his architectural photography, Ed makes buildings feel alive. His portraits and street work find the human moments hiding in plain sight — a fleeting expression, a quiet corner of Central Park at dawn. He is currently finishing a ten-year series documenting Central Park through every season.

His work has earned a Kennedy Center award, a cover of the Taschen/Renzo Piano book, and the 50th anniversary cover of the NYC Marathon. Ed also mentors a small number of creatives each year, helping them do the work they were meant to do.

Ed will be presenting his sweeping panoramic of Main Street, Saugerties.
