Marsha Kaufman-Rubinstein

Studio #32

“I attended Alfred University College of Ceramics and completed my BFA at Hunter College City University of New York. I studied wood fired ceramic techniques with master potter Markos Serbos on the Island of Sifnos, Greece. After my daughter Sofi was born, my husband Scott and I moved to Saugerties and organized Quail Hollow Events, which promotes the bi-annual Woodstock-New Paltz Art and Crafts Fair. My gardens have been featured on local garden tours and visitors are welcomed to browse the grounds. My wheel thrown and hand built, painted and etched porcelain, evoke the landscape and fauna of my surroundings: included are, lamps, casseroles, tea pots, dinnerware items, and bowls. The studio is open year round by appointment and classes are available for children and adults.
